Initial Meeting

We prefer to meet our customers either at their venue or our base to discuss ideas and find out what is important you. It is helpful to know how you describe the style of your wedding, e.g. vintage, modern, elegant, classic, minimalist. Also what are your colour choices and which colours are prominent at the venue?

Your ideas

Some Brides know exactly the flowers and styles they want. Bring along the pictures which inspired you when we meet.

Others are looking for ideas, again bring pictures with you and we can look at designs, colours and flowers then together design a bouquet that is personal to you.

Often it takes 2 meetings to finalise your ideas. The first appointment gives us the opportunity to discuss ideas which can be clarified nearer the date of the wedding.

Costs vary depending on flowers, designs and season.  Budget is always important; we recognise this and will work with you to think creatively about how you use the flowers at your venue to their best effect. After meeting a customer a detailed summary of your order and the costs are provided.

Payment

A deposit of £100 secures your order. We only take one order per weekend to ensure each wedding receives personal attention. Full payment is required one month before the wedding.

The owner of Wedding Blossoms York, Mandy Barker has over 20 years experience as a florist. Mandy regularly provides designs for wedding venues, churches and military functions.

Wedding Blossoms work closely with York Minster, Allerton Castle, York Hospitium, Merchant Taylors, Thicket Priory and Villa Farm Barn where we are recommended florists for these venues.
